An Activity Session in Ferryhill
Our Bouncy castle session provides a variety of sensory input, including proprioceptive (deep pressure) input from jumping, vestibular input from bouncing and spinning, and tactile input from touching different textures.
These sensory experiences can help autistic children regulate their sensory systems, improve body awareness, and increase sensory tolerance.
The repetitive and rhythmic bouncing motion of a bouncy castle can have a calming effect on autistic children, helping to reduce anxiety, stress, and sensory overload. The gentle, predictable movement can provide a soothing sensory experience and promote relaxation.
We also have a lot of specialist sensory equipment for the children to engage with. It’s also a form of physical activity that can help autistic children improve their gross motor skills, coordination, balance, and strength.
